The World's Largest Census Enters Round Two
The Indian census the largest census project in the world, one that is expected to count more
than one billion people has just entered its second phase with the support of the eFlow Unified
Content Platform from Top Image Systems, Tel Aviv, Israel,
www.topimagesystems.com.
In the first phase of the India's census project, eight million double-sided housing forms were
processed. These forms counted domiciles in India, listing the location, number of rooms and
construction materials used for the structures. This phase began in March of this year and was
completed by the end of June.
In phase two, which began in August, the Indian Census will process all of the "household" forms
that count the population. The eFlow platform will capture data from more than 220 million
double-sided forms.
