Process Designer Estimates ROI

October 15, 2002

Upgrading and adding to its Workflow Suite, Ultimus, Cary, NC (www.ultimus.com), has introduced Process Designer, a new tool priced at less than $1,000 that can be used with or without the other products in the Ultimus suite.

Process Designer is what Ultimus executives refer to as "Microsoft Visio on steroids." The product lets users graphically design workflows, and it incorporates an ROI modeling component that estimates potential savings or revenue to be gained by deploying a new workflow. Process Designer's up-front process modeling and analysis features allow nontechnical users to design and model processes and then deliver statistical reports on how well the workflow is performing.

Apart from the Process Designer, other new features in the 5.0c version of Ultimus Workflow Suite include Web-based forms that integrate with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle 9i, providing multiple query and polling abilities. A rapid refresh feature requests new tasks and sends forms in repetitive task environments. The Ultimus Org Chart feature has been expanded to share user information with any third-party directory or user database.
