Gas Service Supplier 'E.mbraces' Collaboration

The Hanover Company, Houston, a leading gas equipment and services provider, has chosen E.mbrace from Netvendor (www.netvendor.com), Atlanta, to provide access to engineering content beyond intercompany boundaries.

Hanover wants to facilitate employee access to and sharing of product and project content from a central repository. The project management group at Hanover hopes Web-based collaboration will reduce the time from concept to delivery for the company's line of gas compression products.

E.mbrace will reportedly enable users to securely share documents with customers, suppliers or employees who aren't connected to the company's network. Working off line, these users will be able to mark up or add comments to a wide variety of document formats.

Netvendor says the Collaborative Workspace component of E.mbrace will provide Hanover with a secure environment for organizing, storing and managing access to all product-related documents. Hanover hopes the solution will reduce costs and improved customer relationships.
