PDF Support Brings Records Wrinkle to Workflow

Metastorm (www.metastorm.com), Severna Park, MD, has added support for Adobe Acrobat and other third-party software to e-Work 5.3, the latest release of the company's workflow suite. With Acrobat support, e-Work can be used by enterprises required by law to provide paper documentation as part of a process.

With the latest release of e-Work, the workflow now works under Microsoft Windows XP Professional, Microsoft Internet Information Server Version 5.1, Oracle 9i and Microsoft Outlook 2002. In addition, e-Work now integrates with Microsoft Biztalk, lightweight directory access protocol for Microsoft Active Directory and enhanced XML/XSL integration tools. It also supports SMTP mail, Novell GroupWise 6 and Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.
