Interwoven Embraces Documents, Portals and Code
Interwoven (www.interwoven.com),
Sunnyvale, CA, has announced three new content applications
enhancing its Interwoven 5 Platform: TeamPortal for publishing content to enterprise portals,
TeamDoc for collaborative document management and TeamCode for Web application management.
TeamDoc software lets companies categorize, find and share electronic documents. The software
provides life cycle services including document security, version control, document property
management and archiving. An optional Content Provider extension pulls documents from legacy
document stores and management systems. The software's Document Dashboard provides a single view of
documents within a department, organization or business. An EasyTag feature automatically generates
document keywords and summaries. An EasyRoute workflow feature lets business users route and approve
documents directly from e-mail applications.
TeamPortal delivers content management services to corporate portals using XML and SOAP. Portal
users can create, manage, QA and deploy content directly from their portal interface. A Browse &
Edit feature lets users add, delete and edit content from a portal without logging into a separate
application. Directory services allow mapping of LDAP and other directory models to management
services. This is said to allow administrators to easily change and add users, teams and groups.
TeamCode is designed to give developers an environment in which to create and collaborate on Web
application code, and then manage, test and deploy that code. A ReleaseRoute feature provides
customizable routing to aid in managing the life cycle of an application development project. IDE
Integration provides plug-ins for leading integrated developer environment products.
