Oce Email Filter Spares the Spam

Oce Document Technologies (www.odt-oce.com), the recognition and software vendor based in Konstanz, Germany, has debuted E-Mail Center e-mail filtering and routing software. The software processes incoming email, filtering out spam and viruses and then routing messages to the appropriate recipients. The software can use prerecorded text, links and attachments to send form letter-like replies. According to Oce, E-Mail Center will make it possible for companies to sift through large amounts of e-mail quickly, reliably and consistently.

All incoming e-mails are matched to a taxonomy that can be prepared beforehand or generated dynamically from the incoming e-mail stream. This information is then used to automatically suggest appropriate responses from a library of reply content stored in a database.
