Fatwire 'Sparks' Portal Content Services

In another sign of the trend toward portals integrating with content management systems, FatWire Software (www.fatwire.com), Mineola, NY, has introduced FatWire Spark pCM, a low-cost content management product for portals. The product includes basic content management functions including workflow, a "to do" list, simplified user and group management, basic search functions, rollback and a feature that automatically generates content management interfaces for business users.

Spark will first run on the BEA WebLogic Portal, which is said to simplify, personalize and lower the cost of access to information, applications and business processes. Spark will start at $25,000 and be upgradable to a complete content management solution.
