Hummingbird Portal Opened to Web Content Management

Hummingbird (www.hummingbird.com), the Toronto-based portal and document management provider, and RedDot Solutions (www.reddotsolutions.com), a New York City-based content management vendor, have announced an alliance that will lead to an integration of their respective products.

Under the terms of the agreement, RedDot Content Management Server will be integrated with Hummingbird's enterprise portal and document management solutions. RedDot decentralizes Web, intranet and extranet content maintenance with a content management toolset and a WYSIWYG interface for content contributors and editors. This software combined with Hummingbird's portal will reportedly provide users with better control over the creation and publishing of Web content to portal communities from within the portal workspace. The integration with Hummingbird's document and content management solution will enable RedDot users to access the content in Hummingbird's document repositories.
