FleetBoston Integrates 'Advisor' Portal

FleetBoston Financial, one of the largest financial holding companies in the U.S., with more than 20 million customers, has chosen VeniceBridge from Venetica (www.venetica.com), Charlotte, NC, to integrate content with a collaborative portal for relationship managers and product specialists in its wholesale banking group.

The portal, called Fleet Business Advisor, will allow users to access and exchange documents, images and reports in real time, drawing the unstructured content from disparate Fleet repositories throughout the enterprise.

Fleet's multiproduct financial solutions often require many participants across multiple divisions working together on numerous applications. Venetica's VeniceBridge technology integrates these applications with the portal and provides a collaborative workspace to facilitate tight coordination among team members. Venetica reports that cycle times have been improved by as much as 25 percent.
