Fatwire Integrates With Desktop Apps

Fatwire (www.fatwire.com), Mineola, NY, has released UpdateEngine 6, a new version of the company's Java-based Web content management system with improved desktop integration. The company has also launched a new version of UE Studio, an UpdateEngine add-on for developing Web applications.

UpdateEngine 6 now integrates with Microsoft Word, for easy, in-context editing, and with Dreamweaver, an HTML authoring application that lets users personalize their content. Other new features include improved, wizard-driven workflows and administrative tools. There is also an EventEngine for integrating the system with other enterprise applications.

UE Studio permits drag-and-drop construction of Web interfaces, report and output formatting and enterprise integration. All FatWire products are written in Java and run on leading J2EE application servers.
