ActionPoint Upgrades InputAccel Capture System

Multistream scanning support and new PDF conversion options are among the upgrades to InputAccel 4.0, the latest version of document and data capture software from ActionPoint (www.actionpoint.com), San Jose, CA. Multistreaming is the simultaneous capture of color and bitonal document images, a feature now offered by scanner manufacturers including Kodak, Panasonic and IBML. InputAccel can tap color images for indexing, data entry or quality control while using binary images for full-text OCR. Two PDF conversion options are now available through integration with Adobe Acrobat Capture or Prime Recognition's PrimeOCR.

InputAccel 4.0 also offers a new AutoAnnotate module that automatically applies annotations and graphical renderings of InputAccel values to images. Annotations are "burned" into module output. When used for redaction, or "black-out" annotation, this feature allows administrators to conceal information from index operators, adding a level of security to key entry processes.

InputAccel 4.0 offers standard exports to Documentum 4i, Sybase 11/12 and Microsoft SQL Server 2000, IBM VisualInfo, FileNet Panagon CS and IS and OpenText Livelink 9.0. The software starts below $4,000.
