Content Management Upgrades Go Beyond the Surface

Expanding support for Java technology and adding simplified authoring tools, London-based Mediasurface (www.mediasurface.com) has introduced version 4.0 of its Web content management system. Mediasurface 4.0 adds support for two key Java technologies, Java Messaging Service (JMS) and custom tags for Java Server Pages (JSPs). JMS enables event-based integration with enterprise middleware and applications. The custom tags for JSP minimize the programming necessary to create JSPs. Mediasurface 4.0's new preprogrammed user interface for content creation reportedly lets enterprises put the software into production immediately without first having to create a user interface and environment for content authors.
