Distributor Puts Documentation on Auto Pilot

Memphis, TN-based Aviall, one of the world's largest independent distributors of aviation parts and a leading provider of parts inventory information services, has selected ViewDirect from Mobius (www.mobius.com), Rye, NY, to speed customer service interactions by providing fast access to customer documents captured from multiple applications and sources.

"We wanted to put invoices, certification documents, and manufacturers' specifications at our agents' fingertips and enable them to fax or email documentation instantly to our customers," said Joe Lacik, vice president of information services at Aviall.

Aviall currently receives myriad calls from customers who request duplicate billing statements. The company envisions reducing the costs of printing and mailing duplicate statements.

Aviall will use Mobius' ViewDirect content server, which creates an integrated repository of diverse document, reports and images, as well as the Siebel-certified ViewDirect interface, which enables users of Siebel eBusiness Applications to search and access the ViewDirect repository.
