QKS Classifier, a taxonomy system combining manual and automatic
operations, was introduced in August by Quiver
(www.quiver.com), San
Francisco. The combination of automated classification and ranking
algorithms with human input is said to improve accuracy and, thus,
retrieval performance. A Workflow Toolset supports human interaction,
letting subject experts aid in the development of taxonomies. The
Workflow remembers decisions made by human operators and uses that
knowledge to streamline classification of similar content.
