FileNet (www.filenet.com) Costa Mesa, CA, in July
announced an Enterprise Content Management (ECM)
initiative that will bring Web content management and other features to the Panagon system. Expected to debut
over the next six months, the new features will include integrated capabilities such as mobile device support, content interchange utilizing XML,
template-driven Web content authoring, integration with HTML authoring tools via WebDAV and Web content
life-cycle management. FileNet also promises process management and reporting tools, multilibrary searching,
Java toolkits and Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server integration - kitchen sink optional.
