Computer Sciences Corp. (CSC), El Segundo, CA, has selected Dakota Imaging (www.dakotaimaging.com), Columbia, MD, to provide a high-volume claims processing solution for the State of New York.
CSC processes more than 30,000 Medicaid claims per day for New York State through an outsourcing contract. CSC has shifted the processing of all these Medicaid claims to Dakota's HealthClaim Expert claims processing software. The software can deliver up to 50-percent increases in auto-adjudication (that is, claim resolution) rates, according to Dakota. This project is reportedly a first in the claims processing industry as more than 80 percent of New York State Medicaid claims are hand written.
