Dynamic Publishing Helps Software Company Progress

E-business software supplier Progress Software, Bedford, MA, has implemented the DynaWeb Web-content application module from Enigma (www.enigma.com), Burlington, MA.

Progress software developers are using DynaWeb to publish and distribute via intranet more than 55 books containing in excess of 14,000 pages of technical documentation. Thousands of Progress customers in more than 100 countries can then access this content, which is published in SGML and XML, via the Progress corporate Web site.

Now that customers can access the entire documentation set online, incoming customer support calls have been reduced by 15 percent, according to Enigma. This is expected to contribute to an estimated $1 million return on investment in the first year following deployment.
