Content-intensive businesses need access to documents, images, reports,
product diagrams, Web pages and other digital assets no matter where
they might reside. VeniceBridge 3.0, from Venetica, Charlotte, NC, is a
content integration solution designed to support e-business, e-commerce
and business-to-business applications by enabling real-time content
collaboration and exchange across the enterprise and to business
partners.
VeniceBridge is said to provide a single architecture that offers
content access, collaboration and exchange from multiple repositories
within and outside the enterprise, regardless of how or where the
content is stored. The system employs J2EE and enterprise Java Beans,
and is compatible with UX, AIX, Sun, NT/2000 and Linux servers. Pricing
starts at $70,000.
Archive Web Transactions
Tower Technology

How can you create a legal record of high-value transactions conducted online? WebCapture, from Tower Technology, Boston, is a capture and playback system that records, in context, all Web session pages in an e-business transaction. It securely stores a visual log and audit trail of each transaction for legal validation, customer service and dispute resolution.
WebCapture records dynamic data and Web pages as they occur, yielding an exact re-creation of the Web transaction sequence. This stand-alone system is designed to run on any standard Web server, and it can be used to provide customer self-service and information needed to satisfy audits and clarify disputed e-business transactions.
Built for Oracle 8i with J2EE, enterprise Java Beans and an extensible application server, WebCapture supports LDAP and an XML-compatible indexing schema. Pricing starts at $75,000.
Enable E-Signatures and Web Workflows
Optical Image Technology
Booth 1213

Web-based business processes demand Web-based workflow and support for electronic signatures. Optical Image Technology (OIT), State College, PA, now offers both. OIT's OptiFlow e-Form solution is an XML-enabled, Web-based workflow system that speeds processing and eliminates lost content. The system's electronic forms link to documents of all types (Word, TIF, COLD/ERM, XLS, etc.) and are stored as XML documents. The linked forms are then flowed and accessed via ordinary browsers. Drop-down menus and wizards support dynamic, variable routing.
OptiFlow e-Sig is OIT's electronic signature enabling module. Aimed at the need for official electronic authorization, OptiFlow e-Sig allows comments such as "approved" or "rejected" to be applied to a file while also enabling secure storage of electronic signatures. This step is critical for meeting strict FDA standards and other regulations. The software maintains a log of digital signatures that can be used for further review by government or internal auditors.
OIT's complete suite of software includes integrated enterprise report management, document imaging, workflow, Internet access, hierarchical storage management, print/fax server and data mining. The modules operate on Windows 9X/NT/2000 and support Oracle, Sybase, MS SQL Server and ODBC databases operating on NT, Unix, Linux, Solaris, AIX, Netware and other servers. OptiFlow e-Form solution costs approximately $25,000; the e-Sig module costs $15,000. Both prices are in addition to any other OIT modules used.
