Web & Email Meet Imaging & COLD
Filemark
Booth 1303

Smarti E-Business is a new module that will bring network/intranet and Internet access to the Smarti enterprise report management and imaging solution from Filemark (www.filemark.com). It provides a way to store, query and retrieve documents and reports from ordinary Web browsers without requiring plug-ins. The standard network Smarti client adds even richer functionality including data mining, annotation and data export.

An API within Smarti E-Business will permit the indexing and storage of emails from Microsoft Exchange Server. Once indexed, emails can be queried and viewed along with any other data present in the system. Users can also email queried information as an attachment.

Filemark’s product line includes Smarti COLD, which segments, indexes and retrieves data ranging from traditional COLD-style reports to AFP, PCL, and Metacode/DJDE reports for enterprise report management. Smarti-Image manages scanned documents, bitmaps, email, OLE documents, video, digital data and other image files.

Smarti II integrates the COLD and imaging components for seamless storage, management and security. Smarti’s Intelligent File Management module (IFM) eliminates the need for separate hierarchical storage management. IFM can move data from on-line to near-line to off-line sources and automatically purge reports.

Smarti options include Smarti Scan, which offers optical, barcode and intelligent character recognition, and Smarti Media Mastering, which allows you to distribute information on CDs, Zip disks, WORM or MO disk.
