Preventative Maintenance for Scanners
Eighty percent of scanner service requests are for simple maintenance tasks, such as cleaning. A proactive maintenance program featuring preventative tactics at regularly scheduled intervals and timely deliveries of supplies can enable companies to save a significant amount of money in maintenance fees and improve long-term ROI on equipment.
- Plan ahead.
Schedule routine check-ups for your scanners rather than waiting for something to really go wrong. The regular maintenance will save money in the long run by fending off expensive, major breakdowns before they happen. It will also help you avoid unpleasant surprises in your equipment budget.
- Stock up.
Keep a kit of consumables well stocked. Coordinate timely deliveries of scanner supplies to ensure that when your scanner needs something, youll have it. By keeping supplies on hand, you may improve productivity and lessen frustrating scanner down time.
- Know the basics.
Avoid equipment failures by learning a few basic preventative tactics. This type of preventative training prepares you to keep your scanner going instead of having to call for repairs and maintenance. Why pay repair fees when you can invest a small amount of time up-front to learn basic care that you can easily do on your own?
