Imaging Magazine's 'What to Call COLD' Contest

As anyone in the COLD solutions business will tell you, the technology has moved way beyond "computer output to laser disk.

In fact, the Association for Information and Image Management (AIIM), Silver Spring, MD, has formed a committee to look into changing the name of COLD to reflect its broader use in the market. We asked industry experts Mason Grigsby, who is chairing the AIIM committee, and Contributing Editor Harvey Spencer to explore the evolution of the COLD market and to offer their own suggestions for a new name. In the spirit of debate, Imaging has created a Web page for you to vote on these ideas or make suggestions of your own.

Just visit www.imagingmagazine.com and link to the "What to Call Cold" Contest. We'll share the results with AIIM, and the reader offering the best name suggestions (serious or otherwise) will win an engraved ice bucket.
